World Ranking Map ('the Site', 'we') respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It covers both free browsing and the paid Premium subscription.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: when you create an account we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We also store your account identifier, membership level (free, Premium or administrator), sign-up date, last sign-in time, preferred language, and a monthly counter of CSV downloads used to enforce usage limits. Subscription and transaction information: subscription status, the payment provider's name, the transaction or subscription identifier returned by that provider, the amount and currency, and the date the current paid period ends. Technical information: your IP address is used temporarily to limit repeated failed sign-in attempts, and standard server logs may record request data for security purposes. Support information: the content of any email you send us. We do not collect or store payment card numbers. We also store the AI statistics content that members create (the chosen subject, title, description and sub-criteria, and whether it is set public) and monthly AI creation credit usage. Your account also stores a country code (nationality) estimated from your connection IP; we do not retain your full IP address for this purpose.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your email address and password to create and authenticate your account, to keep you signed in, and to contact you about your account, subscription or support request. We use subscription and transaction data to grant and maintain Premium access, to show your billing status and renewal date, and to keep accounting records. We use the CSV counter to enforce the monthly download limit. We use technical data to protect the Site against abuse, brute-force sign-in attempts and fraud. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your email address for marketing without your consent.
3. Payments and Paddle
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller of record for the transaction. When you subscribe, you enter your payment details directly with Paddle; your card number and full payment credentials are handled by Paddle and are never received or stored by World Ranking Map. Paddle may provide us with limited order information — such as a customer identifier, transaction or subscription identifier, subscription status, amount and currency, and the billing country — so that we can deliver the service, process the order, prevent fraud and provide customer support. Paddle's own privacy policy governs its processing of your data.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies. A session cookie is set when you sign in so that the Site can recognise you; it is HttpOnly and is deleted when you sign out or when it expires. An additional cookie is used only for administrator sign-in. We also store your preferred language in your browser's local storage. Essential cookies cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in. Analytics and advertising cookies are described in the next section; you can control or block cookies through your browser settings.
5. Analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure anonymised visit statistics such as page views, session duration and country of access. The Site does not display advertising. The analytics script is loaded only after you accept cookies in the consent banner; if you decline, it is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Google may set cookies and use device identifiers to measure traffic; the data is transmitted to and managed by Google under Google's own privacy policy. You can change your choice at any time using the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer, or block these cookies in your browser.
6. Service Providers
We share personal information only with providers that help us operate the Site: Paddle (payment processing and Merchant of Record), Google (website analytics), and our cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, which store the Site's database and serve the website. Each provider processes data only for the purposes described above. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Sign-in sessions are stored until they expire or until you sign out, and are deleted when you change your password. Subscription and transaction records are kept for as long as required for accounting, tax and legal obligations, which may be several years after the subscription ends, even if the account is deleted. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to request its deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy of your data. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@metagrid1.com from the address associated with your account.
9. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account yourself at any time from the My Account page: enter your password to confirm, and we will permanently delete your account, your sign-in sessions, your language preference and our copy of your subscription records. This cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it first so that it is not renewed; the Site will ask you to do this before deleting. Paddle, as Merchant of Record, keeps its own transaction and invoice records for the period required by tax and accounting law, under its own privacy policy. You may also request deletion by email at contact@metagrid1.com.
10. International Data Transfers
Our service providers, including Paddle and Google, operate globally, and the Site is hosted on infrastructure that may be located outside your country. This means your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your own. Where required by law, such transfers are made using the appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to external websites. Those sites are not covered by this Privacy Policy; please review the privacy policy of each site you visit.
12. Changes and Contact
This policy may be updated when the law or the service changes. When it is, the 'Last updated' date above is revised, and significant changes will be announced on the Site. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the Contact page or by email at contact@metagrid1.com.
